We all know the Back to the Future trilogy, right? I’m sure it’ll have come to your attention that today is the day which the Marty McFly and Doc Brown went forward to in Back to the Future Part 2. 4:29pm on 21st October 2015, to be exact.
Although the vision of the films was not quite realised, there are still some definite similarities between the 1985 vision of 2015 and the real world version. 3D films are a an every day sight now, even though they aren’t holographic. Communications have taken a massive step forward recently, with the video chats that seemed like a pipe dream in 1985 being accessible from a device that fits in the palm of your hand. Even the Cubs seem to be doing their best to follow through on predictions from 30 years past. There are also some things that came about as a direct result of the film. Pepsi Perfect and Power-lace dappled Nike trainers being just two of those things. I would totally have bought one of those Pepsi Perfects, had they been available in the UK.
To commemorate the Back to the Future films, which are arguably my favourite film trilogy, I’m taking on the marathon of all three files as I write. In true BTTF style, here’s a message from Doc Brown. Just remember, your future hasn’t been written yet, it’s whatever you make of it. So make it a good one.
