I joined Kernow Astronomers on Thursday 19th July for a talk about interstellar dust. We explored the origins of dust, how it evolves and forms into planets and how it effects us in our everyday lives.

I had the pleasure of going along to the 5th Digital Taunton meetup in June 2019. I discussed how astronomy has a long history of applying ‘big data’ to the way it does science. I also discussed some of the really exciting astronomical missions coming in the next decade or so that truly embrace the modern definition of ‘big data’.
